Bhopal is
known as the city of lakes and capital of Madhya Pradesh . Bhopal is surrounded
by natural beauties ,parks ,gardens, and
artificial lakes. It also called one of the greenest city of India .The capital
of Madhya Pradesh is split by a pair lakes considered as upper and the lower lakes. Like many other
city of India,Bhopal city also could be divided
into two parts ,the old city and the new city.The northern fraction
of the city stands as old Bhopal while the southern part of the city is known
as New Bhopal. In the city of Bhopal ,Muslims and Hindus are living together harmoniously ,united and
peacefully from many years to till date.

North Latitude and 77.0 36 east longitude .The city is situated on 527
m(1,729 ft ) above the sea level .It is located in north western segment of the
state which is central part of India . The
moist subtropical climate is cool and dry in winters ,in the summer is
hot and in monsoon season is humid in city of Bhopal .The average maximum
temperature is 26 0C and average
minimum temperature 10.5 0C . Malwa king Bhoja was founded
the city in
11 century
and named after that as Bhopal .
Paramara king Bhoja ruled the Bhopal from his capital at Dhar . Bhopal was a
small village in the Gond Kingdom at the early 18th Century.Bost
Mohammad khan convert Bhopal as a modern Bhopal city in 1672-1728.After signing
a treaty with British East Company in 1818 Bhopal became a princely states.Four
Begums (Women) was ruled between 1819 and 1926.Qudsia Begum was the first woman ruler. kaikhusrau Jahan
was the last woman ruler and ruled up to 1926 . After that Begum’s son Hamid Ullah khan ruled as Nawab
until 1947. Waters Works ,Railways ,Postal System and a municipality
constituted in 1907 were made by the
Begums for the development of the state.The second –largest muslim- ruled
princely state was Bhopal after Hyderabad at that period of time.Last Nawab did
not join India in 1947 . Leader including Shankar Dayal Sharma took
control over Bhopal in December
1948. 1, June 1949 ,prin cely state of Bhopal came under the control of union
