Bhubaneswar city is situated in Odisha state of
India.The city is located in the khordha district .It is the capital city of
the Indian state of Odisha . Bhubaneswar is the largest city in Odisha .It is
very old
town exist from epic time. Bhubaneswar city has a
nickname as Temple city because it have many temples which are standing
there. The modern city of Bhubaneswar
was established in 1948.City has a
confluence of Hindu,Buddhist and Jain heritage and includes several kalingan Temple which attract large number of
domestic tourists and international tourists from tourism world. Bhubaneswar
city is located between 20.2900 N latitude to 85.82460 E longitude .The city has an average altitude of 45m (148ft) above sea level.City is in the eastern coastal plains along the axis of the eastern Ghats mountains.Bhubaneswar lies in Mahanadi river delta.The kuakhai river 4km to the east and the Daya river is 4km to the south. The Chandaka Wilidlife Sanctuary and Nabdankanam Zoo are in west and north to Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar has a topical savanna climate with five main season such as winter,spring ,summer ,monsoon and post –monsoon season , average maximum temperatures 37.80 C and average minimum temperatures 25.10 C .The annual average rainfall is 1628 mm (64.1 inches). Bhubaneshwar has a ancient and rich history . City was early settlement dating back to

around the 3rd century to 1st century . Bhubaneshwar
was capital of ancient kalinga .Many dynasty ruled here like as Mauryan Dynasty
,Mahameghavahana Dynasty , Satavahanas Dynasty ,Guptas Dynasty ,Shailodbhavas
Dynasty ,Keshari Dynasty ,Eastern Dynasty, Eastern Ganga Dynasty ,Bhai Dynasty.
Then Muslim Rule came here and Muslim Ruler taken over the city under their
control from 16th – 18 th
Centuries CE. After defeated the
Muslim Ruler ,it come under the control of Maratha Ruler. British Ruler defeated the Maratha Dynasty and it came under the control of British Ruler.After
independence it become part of Odisha State and became capital of the state
