Gulmarg means Meadow of flowers .Gulmarg is located in kashmir Gulamrg is a hill station town. Gulmarg is one of the best tourism destination of India .It also famous as skiing destination ,so it has become famous and popular among tourist and skies lover.Gulmarg lies between 34.0484⁰ N latitude and 74.3805⁰ E longtitude .Gulmarg  city is 2,650  m (8,694 ft) above the sea level.It is 56 km away from Srinagar. Gulmarg has a warm –summer humid continental climate .In winter season tourist could enjoy heavy snowfall.Summer season is moderate in temperature and length.But in other season relatively cool.The Gulmarg’s  average maximum temperature is between 17⁰C to 20 ⁰C and average minimum temperature is between 5⁰C to 10 ⁰C. The city average rainfall is 223.9 millimeters.In early period Gulmarg was under the Sultan Yusuf Shah the Chak Dynasty ,Later the Gulmurg come under the control of Mughal.Jehangir was the emperor in Mughal era .After Mughal era Gulmarg come under British government till post Independence, also it become princely state of Jammu and kashmir till post independence. Then after independence ,Gulmarg became part of Indian state of Jammu and kashmir. Types of  language  available  in Gulmarg are : Kashmiri, Dogri, Urdu, English and Hindi.
