is situated 786 mm above the sea level .Imphal city has a humid subtropical climate with cool
,dry winter and a slightly hot monsoon season.The city is always enjoys a
moderate climate tempered because of its high altitude and the surrounding
hills. The average maximum temperature is 29 0C and average minimum temperature is 40 C.
The average rainfall in the city is 1,320 mm. In the initial stages Imphal was
ruled by king Khaba.Later by the the Pakhangba leaders who were clan of the Ningthouja tribe who were
quickly expanded their domin in this area and ruled here. Later it came under
the control of British Raj after Anglo –Manipur war.After independence it
became capital of Manipur and Manipur become part of Indian state. Type of
