Kashmir Valley
is one of the top tourist places in India . It is famous for houseboats of Srinagar , Ski slopes of

–path wilderness , the region offers diverse landscapes which make it like a paradise

freshwater lake in Asia. So the Kashmir Valley natural beauty make it famous and popular among International tourists as well as Domestic tourists in the tourism
world. The Kashmir Valley has an average elevation of 1,850
meters ( 6,070 ft ) above sea level ,but the surrounding Pir Panjal
range has an average elevation of 10,000 feet (3,000m).The
valley is 100km (62 mi) wide and covers 15,520.3 km (5,992 sq mi) in
area.It is bounded by sub –ranges of the western Himalayas,the great
Himalayas bound it in the northeast and separate it from the Tibetan
plateau ,whereas the Pir Panjal Range in the lesser Himalayas bounds it on the west and the south ,and
separates it from the Punjab Plain.The
Jhelum river is the major river which acts a drainage for whole Kashmir
valley.The Kashmir valley features a modified continental Mediterranean climate
that is significantly cooler than the tropical plains of mainland surrounded by
high mountain walls ,it experiences cold ,snowy winters ,mild ,pleasant
summers. Kashmir valley ‘s average
maximum temperature 0 0 C
to 32 0 C
and average minimum temperature is -15 0 C to 16 0 C. The average
annual rainfall is
619mm in Kashmir valley. The history of the Kashmir valley was transitioning
from a premier global center of classical Hindu and Buddhist philosophy into a
wealthy medieval Islamic Sultanate, a royal Mughal summer retreat and converted
into modern princely state. After Independence Kashmir valley become part of India
and some places of Kashmir Valley become part of Pakistan after the partition
of India in 1947. Types of languages in kashmir valley are : Kashmiri, Gojri, Pahari,
Shina. The region recognizes five official languages: Urdu,English,Hindi
