October of every year. Mathura
can be traced to approximate 2500 years ago. Mathura city is mentioned in the
oldest epic.It has been traced from
Ramayana and Mahabharat periods. It is was founded by Satrughant after killing Yadava Lavana at the
site of Madhuvana which has been mentioned in Ramayana. The city was mentioned
as birth place of Lord Krishna in the holy book of Mahabharat.After that it
become one of the holy place of Hindu religion of India.The city was ruled by many
Hindu and Muslim kings of India for many years . After that it came under the
control of the British rule .Independence of India brought Mathura as a part of
