Mount Abu  is  famous hill station of Rajasthan state. The town is also call as hill resort .Mount Abu is also referred to as “ an oasis in the desert “. It  is home for rivers ,lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forest . It is also famous for ancient Hindu and Jain temples.The town is also rich in culture. During the British rule the town was famous reason being the headquarter of Rajputana  Agency. Mount Abu is popular for Guru Park 5,650 feet (1,722 metres) which is the highest point in the Aravalli Range. Mount Abu is very famous and popular place among  the tourists. It   is under the Sirohi district of Rajasthan State  located between 24.5926 ⁰ N latitude and  72.7156 ⁰ E longtitude and  elevation is 5,650  ft above sea level.City located right at the border of Gujarat state which is the south western part of Rajasthan.It is connected to all the major cities of north and western India viz Udaipur ,Ahmedabad ,Jodhpur ,Jaipur and Delhi. One can enjoy wonderful soothing climate throughout the year at Mount Abu . Summer season is never that much hot and only hot during month of April to June  month.The Mount Abu’s average maximum temperature is 22 ⁰ C  and  average minimum temperature is 10 ⁰ C .The city average rainfall is 1615 mm. The ancient name of  Mount Abu was Arbuda. Parmar kings ruled here btween 11^th century to 13^th century  and constructed many temples .After that Rao Lumba conquest the Mount Abu from Deora-Chauhan Dynasty. It also came under the control of Rao Shasmal from Sirchi Dynasty.Maharaja of Sirohi given it on leased to British government .Then it came under the control  of British government. After India ‘s  independence Mount Abu became part of Rajasthan State of India.
