Jaipur is known as Pink City .Heart of city is made of royal palaces and historical sites. It is popular tourism sites among domestic and international tourists. Jaipur is the part of  the west golden triangle tourist circuit .UNESCO World Heritage declared Pink City as one of the heritage city of India. Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar are prominent heritage sites of  India , located in this city. Rajput ruler Jai Singh II was founder of Pink City . Jaipur is situated in east side of Rajasthan. And city is surrounded by Aravalli hill of its three sides.Northside have  two cities Alwar and Sikar ,Ajmer and Nagaur in west side ,in south side have Tank and Sawai Madhopur ,Dausa and Bharatpur in east side.Jaipur lies between 26⁰ 55N  latitude and 75⁰ 49 E⁰  Longitude.Total area covered  by Pink City is about 11117.8 sq.km while the total area covered  by Jaipur district stand for about  11,143 km² .Jaipur’s average  height is 1417 ft above sea level. The Climate of Jaipur is semi –arid types. In summer season  maximum temperature of  Jaipur is 45⁰  C and in winter season minimum temperature is about  22⁰  C. The month  of August and September are monsoon season and annual  rainfall  is 650 mm annually. October to February  are  pleasant climate in the city ,which is a suitable time for the tourist to visit this beautiful place. 

Jaipur’s name was made from Maharaja Jai  Singh  II. He got power of the throne at the age when he was 11 years old ,after his father’s death. Jai Singh had fought against their  rebel  Sisodia Rajput and won the battle by help of Mughals. After the Mughals fall down , Jai Singh throw away from his thrown but later he got back to his power and started planning for development of Jaipur City. Jaipur was first planned city of  India. And Chief architect from  Bengal  Vidhyadhar Bhattacharya design the Jaipur city and  help Jai Singh to  further developed the city. 18 November 1727 foundation of the planned city of Jaipur was laid down by Jai Singh.   It take less time for plannings  strategies ,with  in four years  the city was built.After the death of Jai Singh ,his sons could not won power and city left without kings the neighbouring states ,like Rajput and Marathas take over. The City was come under control of Maharaja Ram Singh because he was associated with the Prince of Whales (Later king Edward VII) and named the city as Pink City .
