Bangalore name is changed as Bengaluru. It’s original name was Bengavl-uru which means that city of guards. Another two nicknames of Bangalore city are Garden City and Pensioner’s Paradise . Bengaluru is also called Silicon Valley of India . The Capital city of Karnataka is also well known as IT hub and major corporate companies of the world operate from here. MNC companies also work from this city .Many start-ups and Indian tech companies has lay down foundation in Bengaluru and it has became their hometown . Bengaluru located in the southeast of the South Indian State of Karnataka. It lies between 12.97160 N latitude and 77.59460 E longitude . Bengaluru is situated at 920 m (3,020ft) above the sea level. Bengaluru is tropical savanna climate with distinct wet and dry season . In the summer it is more rain as compare to winter season.The average maximum temperature is 27 C0 in the summer and in winter average minimum temperature is 18 C0 . The rainfall in Bengaluru is 986 mm.Best season to visit in Bengaluru is winter season because of its very pleasant climate . Bangalore is the capital of the state and founded in 1537 AD by the Chieftan kempa Gowda of Vijaynagar Emperor .After ruled by Vijaynagar emperor it came under BijapurSultan Adil Shahi. After Shivaji brother’s Venkoji/Ekoji Bhonsale lose war against Mughals ,he sold Bangalore to Woe Dey Ar King Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar in 1689 for three lakh . King Krishnaraja Wadiyar given Bangalore to Hyder Ali in 1759.And Hyder Ali declared ruler of the kingdom.After his death his son Tipu Sultan got control of Bengaluru . Then it came under the British Rule in 1809 .After independent of India it came under the government of India as a state.
